SCOTLAND

  Bringing in the MILLENIUM

Location :
We reside in a coastal town by the name of IRVINE, which is located on the West coast of Scotland in the county of Ayrshire.

The town's main claim to fame is the fact that one of Scotland's greatest sons, the poet Robert Burns (or by his rightful name Rabbie Burns), lived and worked there for about a year of his too short life.

The town, as does most of Ayrshire, keeps the Burns tradition very much alive, by organizing many verse and musical occasions, and in fact also has its own Burns club within the town.

Our very own keyboard player (Craig 'fingers' Miller) has appeared regularly in Burns and Scottish events, playing violin, keyboard and recorder and picking up quite a few awards along the way.

Music :
We enjoy playing music, and this WEB site is nothing more than a little bit of fun, with the emphasis on our musical hobby, which we hope to update regularly.

We like all styles of music, and although modern music takes up most of our practice time, we enjoy playing traditional Scottish music.

The main musical influence on the younger members has been the Beatles (its actually amazing the number of young people who still like this group).
Beatles music was the first modern style of music which the boys played, after many hours of piano scales and classical pieces.

The older member is mainly 70's based (say no more !).

Equipment :
This has been a difficult area with our limited knowledge of 'what do you need to play music', but as time goes on we are slowly beginning to understand what is required.
Playing is one thing, but sound control is a totally new ball game.

However at the moment we have :

Yamaha Pacific electric guitar
Columbus stratocaster copy                            25 years old and still going strong
Yamaha PSR-530 keyboard

ZOOM player 3000 effects processor
